WPA Plaque, Thomas, WV

Thomas is a small (really small) town at the base of West Virginia's eastern panhandle. Like a lot of mining and railroad towns in the region, the Great Depression all but rolled up the sidewalks in the early 1930s. I'm not sure if this wall served a greater purpose in 1938, but today it still keeps the northbound side of Rt. 32 from sliding down onto the southbound side.
